Senate Notebook is a regular news feature with the goal to keep students up to date on Student Senate. Senate meets every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in the Brehme Conference Center. Guests are welcome to attend.

Malone President David King wants to have an open forum during an upcoming senate meeting to have transparency regarding athletics and rumors surrounding a possible move to division 3. Student body President Mike Terry talked to Greg Miller, professor of history and director of general education, about  a student concern regarding adjunct professors. Miller said 75 percent of adjunct professors that teach in the general education program will be gone next school year. Andrea Maier and Jonathan Davis, both senior intervention specialist education majors, were elected as president and vice president for the 2015-2016 school year. Library hours will be extended next fall. Chris Wisbey said the Johnson Center dining room and kitchen will be renovated. This will include a grab-and-go station where students can get food. in a second renovation phase, Wisbey wants to renovate the Johnson Center courtyard.
