PEDIGREE: This week’s Pioneer Focus athlete of the week goes to sophomore cross-country runner Andrew Trusty for leading his team to a first place victory at the University of Akron’s Tommy Evans Invitational on Thursday Sept. 6.
Trusty was the runner-up amongst 41 runners, all of which were Division I opponents, in the four mile race. He led his team to victory that day by scoring 36 points with his time of 20:39.

Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Scrambled eggs with peanut butter on top.
Q: If you could have one song be the theme song to your life, which would it be?
A: “On My Own” by Ashes Remain

A: Allyson Felix
Q: Something most people don’t know about you?
A: I talk to my family’s shih’tzu like she is a real person.
Q: What is the thing you like most about your sport?
A: I get to see Ryan Roush’s beautiful face every single day.
Q: Who is your role model and why?
A: My grandpa. He does everything with a purpose and to his fullest.
Q: Favorite fast food outlet?
A: Taco Bell
Q: Best and worst part of college athletics?
A: Best– Getting to look forward to something after classes. Worst– It is time consuming.
Q: What did you do this summer?
A: Went to California!
