PEDIGREE: This week’s Pioneer Focus goes to junior Connor McCaulley for his strong play for Pioneer golf in its annual Malone Fall Classic at the Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance, Ohio.
Playing in his first tournament on the Pioneers “A” squad, McCaulley surely didn’t disappoint as he won medalist honors at the two-day event by being the only player in the field to break par. He shot a scorching six-under par 138 (70-68) on the par-72 6,694 yard layout.
In the process of winning his first collegiate tournament he also was able to lead the Pioneers to the decisive 41 stroke victory over second place Walsh University (578-619).
