A: My favorite athlete is Steve Smith because of his passion and the way he plays the game.
Q: Something most people don’t know about you?
A: Something that most people don’t know about me is that I watch cartoons more then I watch sports. Nine times out of 10 my TV is on Cartoon Network… and Justin is not my first name [Derrick], a lot people don’t know that either.
Q: Most embarrassing moment?
A: Most embarrassing moment was my first year in Ohio. Being from North Carolina, I wasn’t used to it snowing every day, so one day I was walking down a flight of stairs with McDonald’s in my hand and I slipped down the steps and my food and phone went flying.
Q: Favorite aspect of football?
A: Favorite aspect of football would have to be the competition. Competition brings out the best in everybody. If you’re not trying to be the best at the sport you’re playing then you shouldn’t be playing.
Q: Saturdays or Sundays?
A: Saturdays….I love watching college football. It’s more exciting to me because you got the band playing and the student section going crazy; just everything about it.
Q: Who is your role model(s) and why?
A: My parents are my role models. The reason I say that is through all the ups and downs they continue to smile and stay positive…they do anything to make sure that my two sisters and I are taken care of.
Q: Favorite fast food outlet?
A: McDonald’s…food for champions.
Q: Best and worst part of college athletics?
A: Best part of college athletics would be the life time friends you gain, and the worst part of college athletics is all the work and effort you put into your sport and the outcome on the scoreboard doesn’t show it.
Q: Least favorite rule at Malone?
A: My least favorite rule at Malone is a tie between the visitation rule and being fined for not getting 20 chapels. I just think both are ridiculous.
Q: How many hours do you spend watching film?
A: I don’t watch film. I just show up and do my thing…just kidding, I usually spend about two hours a day.
Q: Facebook or Twitter?
A: Twitter… follow me at I_got_5onit.
