PEDIGREE: The first Pioneer focus of 2013 goes to men’s basketball freshman guard Christian Graves for his strong play off the bench and 3-point shooting.
Throughout the season Graves has been an instrumental addition as a freshman to the 10-7 Pioneers bench scoring as he has averaged 6.5 points in 290 minutes. He has been quite the 3-point shooting specialist as he is averaging a remarkable 45.3 percent from 3-point land.
To put his deadly downtown shooting in perspective, Isiah Elliot, the Pioneers’ leading scorer at 19.6 points per game, shooting percentage from the field is lower than Graves’ 3-point mark at 44.3 percent.
