Senate held an Open Forumon Wednesday, March 27 for students to come and express concerns.
The issue was brought up about AVI food services. One student suggested that there should be a more efficient way to give AVI feedback, specifically an online system. Senator James Talbert volunteered to pursue this issue.
Another student requested that class scheduling begin at midnight instead of 7 a.m. each day, since students prefer staying up late to getting up early. After a vote was taken at the regular meeting, the issue was tabled.
The issue of the ice rink was once again raised, with students wanting to sell it since weather has not permitted for its use. Vice president for student development Chris Abrams is going to look into options for selling the rink.
Senate’s Service Saturday will take place on April 6. A blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, April 11.
Student Senate meetings are held every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in the Brehme Conference Center.
