The Aviso AVW has been named a finalist for Associated Collegiate Press’s Pacemaker award in the category of online-only for the second year in a row.
“I’m really impressed that our students are competitive on a national level,” said David Dixon, professor of communication arts and faculty advisor of The Aviso AVW. “Their work models how online media should serve their audiences.”
Other finalists in the online-only category include DePaul University and Syracuse University, among others.
“I’m really excited and proud of the staff and I’m looking forward to continuing to improve,” said Blaire Thompson, editor-in-chief of The Aviso AVW.
