Pioneer Focus: Lindsy Snyder

 

Pedigree: This week’s Pioneer Focus is awarded to junior forward Lindsy Snyder for her recent milestone of surpassing the 500 rebounding mark in her career. During the women’s basketball team’s recent six game winning streak, Snyder has been excellent across the board and reached her milestone when the Pioneer’s defeated Ohio Dominican University 60-45.

Snyder joined elite company as she is one of 16 players in Pioneer women’s basketball history to eclipse the 500 mark on rebounds. In the Pioneers’ latest contest against GLIAC opponent Findlay University, Snyder helped the team earn their first win ever against the Oilers in a 71-65 victory, snapping a 19 game losing streak. Snyder contributed with a game-high eight boards while scoring nine points.

A: To fly; I’ve always wanted to ever since I was little, I just think it would be sweet to go look over top of things.

A: Playing with my best friends

A: Liam Hemsworth

A: Kidnappers

Q: Someone who has had a big influence on you? Why?

A: My dad; he is always there when I’m sad and can make me feel better. Both of my parents show up to my games, and he always wants to hang out.

A: Stuffed animal; roses die!

A: Hugs

Q: One thing most people don’t know about you?

A: I really really really like cats. I’m in love with cats. They’re my favorite thing ever, especially mine.

Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

A: Back at home teaching preschool, kindergarten, or first grade.

Q: Best team moment?

A: When we recently beat Ashland, we were excited to be tied for first place in the GLIAC. That was a really big step for us.

Q: Favorite Quote?

A: James 1:3-4; because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
