Senate Notebook: February 27

 

Senate Notebook is a regular news feature with the goal to keep students up to date on what Student Senate is up to. Senate meets every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in the Brehme Conference Center. Guests are welcome to attend.

Mike Terry, junior Bible and theology major, and Andrea Maier, sophomore early childhood major, announced that they are officially running for student body president and vice president, respectively.

The student space committee has begun discussing possible renovations for student space. These changes would be similar to the changes made during summer 2013.

Senate has been trying to find out if there is a way to compile a list of reputable off-campus housing so all students can access it.

A student concern about military recruitment on campus was addressed. Senate members met with administration about this issue. The administration expressed that they are not concerned about military recruitment and they do not think it interferes with Malone’s values.

Senate will be looking into getting potholes on campus filled.
