Pedigree: This week’s Pioneer Focus goes to freshman cross country runner Hannah Campbell. Hannah finished 1st overall in the Disney Cross Country Classic on October 10th. In addition to her performance in Orlando, she also led the Pioneers to a first place finish in the All-Ohio Collegiate Championships on October 3rd with a time of 21:53.39 in the 6k.

High School: River Valley High School
Q: At what age did you start running?
A: I started running cross country in 8th grade.
Q: What led you to decide to come to Malone?
A: I chose Malone because of their direct entry nursing program and the running program.
Q: What has been the high point of the season so far?
A: The highest point of my season so far was running at Disney. Both the boys and girls team won the meet, and it was so much fun hanging out with the team and Mickey at Disney World.
Q: What are your personal expectations for the remainder of the season?
A: I want to continue to improve and drop my time in the 6K.
Q: What is your favorite thing about cross country?
A: My favorite thing about cross country is racing. I love competition and pushing myself to do my best.
Q: What do you see yourself doing after college?
A: Being a nurse. I will be able to help others and learn more about the human body.
Q: Name one place in the world you want to visit.
Q: What is a unique fact about yourself?
A: I used to be a cheerleader.
Q: Biggest fear?
A: My biggest fear is being a disappointment.
Q: What is your favorite activity other than running?
A: I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Q: You can only invite four people to dinner. Who would they be?
A: I would invite Aaron Craft, Tim Tebow, Rachel Koons, and my mom.
Q: Has there been one person who has had a big influence on you? If so, who and why?
A: My mom has had a huge impact on my life because she always encourages me to do my best and be true to myself.
