Senate Notebook: Nov. 13

 

Senate Notebook is a regular news feature with the goal to keep students up to date on what Student Senate is up to. Senate meets every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in the Brehme Conference Center. Guests are welcome to attend.

Senate will hold an open forum on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Stewart Room. Students are encouraged to attend and address their concerns.

President David King and First Lady Winnie King were present at the Nov. 12 meeting.

Dr. King discussed Malone’s strategic plan and how university employees are being held accountable to the plan.

According to Dr. King, Malone’s capital campaign is in the beginning phases. The capital campaign will be used to fundraise for some of Malone’s larger needs (e.g.: field house, science center, increased scholarships).

Senate is looking into getting a card scanner for the Front Porch (WWF lobby).

A possible computer and printer location in the Barn is being investigated.
