Notable wins from last year: Walsh, Ashland, Michigan Tech
Coach’s Outlook: “There is going to be a lot of new faces out there. A lot of good pieces to the puzzles now but also for the future. It’s worth the watch for sure. This team has a lot of potential. The question remains how quickly we can gel with so many pieces to the puzzle. It’s a great group.”

Coach’s Outlook: “More mature, More unified. More complete team than we ever have had. We are very excited about Will. He made some right choices. The game has slowed down for him.”
Coach’s thoughts on season opener against Ohio Dominican: “Return thirteen All-Conference players. You have to be on you’re A game. You have to eliminate all mistakes. Some of our guys rise up and make some big plays. Confidence in our preparation, confidence in what we can control. Control the things we can control. I think we respect them not fear them.”

Women’s Soccer

Head Coach: Josh Jones
Last year’s Record: 3-13 (2-10) GLIAC
GLIAC Media Poll: 13th
Some Key Returners: Jr. MF Brianna Smith, Goalie Shannon Grimes
Coach’s Outlook: “ The goal for the team is that we can get into the 6th, 7th, or 8th slot in the conference tournament. We have the talent, the depth on the team. The talent level has risen each year. We will be able to go eighteen deep. Our offence is very good. We have our top too scorers back from last year. I think we will be an exciting team to watch.

Men’s Soccer

Head Coach: Ben Stock
Last year’s Record: 2-13-1 (1-12-1) GLIAC
GLIAC Media Poll: 8th
Some Key Returners: Sr. Goalie Jon Crabbs, Sr. MF. Sam Tonelli, So. F. Nick Astalos
Coach’s Outlook: “Our destination is to be in the discussion for postseason play when the GlIAC tournament comes around. Have good character. Play hard how we treat teams, officals. Soccer is a beautiful game. Our goal is to set a higher standard than yesterday.”

Women’s Golf

Head Coach: Heather Curtis
Best Finish Last year: 3rd Grove City (PA) Invitational

Some Key Returners: Jr. Hannah Maczko, Jr. , Jr. Kaitlyn Brant
Player’s Outlook: “ Still growing as a team. Mostly Junior’s and Sophomore’s. Hopefully grow as a team and get some good scores in. Get more in the middle of GLIAC and show people what we can do.”

Women’s Cross Country

Head Coach: Jack Hazen
Notable finish Last year: 1st Disney Classic
Media Poll: 19th in the nation
Some Key Returners: So. Hannah Campbell, Jr. Mackie Keller, Sr. Sarah Meek
Runner’s Outlook by Jr. Laura Rybka: “ Goal is to make it to Nationals. Do our best. To focus on how running is a gift from the Lord. To glorify him in all training and races regardless of the outcome. Grow closer as a team and spur each other on.”

Men’s Cross Country

Head Coach: Jack Hazen
Notable finish last year: 1st Disney Classic
Media Poll: 19th in the Nation
Some Key Returners: Sr. Ryan Roush, Sr. Scott Whitaker
Runner’s outlook by So. Andrew Currier: “ I think we’re looking pretty strong. Not only are the workouts going well but the team has good chemistry. Everyone is excited about the idea of the team.”

Men’s Golf

Head Coach: Ken Hyland
Notable Finish Last year: 1st NCAA Midwest Regional
Media Poll: N/A
Some Key Returners: Jr. Cody Mast, SO. Jacob English
Team outlook: Coming off a stellar year last year in which the team finished second in the GLIAC and 1st in the NCAA Midwest regional there is high hopes that the team can improve upon the always pretty successful tradition Malone Golf usually has. Returning some key pieces it looks to be another successful team.
