Club Feature: Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an International Honors Society for Educators. There are many Universities throughout the U.S. (and even the world) that have a Kappa Delta Pi Chapter. In order to become a “member”, you must be an education major and meet the GPA requirements.

KDP’s primary focus is service to the community and professional development. KDP hosts professional development events that focus on how to dress professionally and roundtable events where teachers from the community come to speak to us about what works in their classrooms. This semester, Malone Alumni came to share about their first-year teaching experience.

One of the most popular events in the fall semester is Jammin in Your Jammies. Local families are invited to a kid’s benefit concert dressed in their pajamas. KDP donates all of proceeds from the event, and this year the funds were donated to the Children’s Network.More information is available on the bulletin board on the third floor of Mitchell or by emailing ermarch1@malone.edu.
